The British White Cattle Association of America will hold its 2026 Annual Membership Meeting on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Waverly Iowa Civic Center in Waverly, Iowa.

The meeting is hosted by Larry Steinbronn of Artesian Organic Farm, 3610 Viola Dr., Waverly, IA 50677-9054.
There is no cost for BWCAA members to attend the Annual Membership Meeting.
The annual meeting will take place during the morning and will include the election of three directors to serve three-year terms. Following the Annual Membership Meeting, the Board of Directors will hold its annual reorganization meeting.
Lunch will be provided, and several speakers will present an interesting program for attendees.
2026 Annual Membership Meeting

All active adult members who have paid herd fees are qualified to vote in the election.
2026 Board of Directors Candidates
Three candidates have been submitted to the Nominating Committee and are eligible for election to three-year terms on the BWCAA Board of Directors. Each candidate has agreed to serve if elected and has followed the nomination process outlined in the BWCAA Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
Kevin Reed
Kevin Reed and his wife, Diane, have been BWCAA members since 2006, and Kevin has served on the Board of Directors since 2008.
The Reeds operate a large cow-calf operation in New York's Southern Tier along the Pennsylvania border, raising both registered and commercial British White cattle.
Kevin would like to continue serving the BWCAA membership on the Board of Directors.
Christina Traeger
Christina Traeger has been part of the BWCAA since 1997. Her herd is based in central Minnesota, where she began, like many breeders, with just a few head and a dream of promoting the breed.
Today, Christina has a larger herd and operates a farm-to-fork British White beef business that works to build excitement and demand for the breed's beef.
Over nearly 30 years in the breed, Christina has served on the Promotions Committee, as a consultant, and on other committees. She enjoys connecting with breeders, answering questions, and helping the breed grow.
Christina says she remains as excited about the breed as she was when she attended her first Board meeting in Kansas City in February 1998. She looks forward to continuing to serve the organization as a member of the Board of Directors.
Jonathan Wiechmann
Jonathan Wiechmann and his wife have been raising British White cattle at Cave Creek Ranch in the northwest corner of South Dakota since the early 1990s.
Their operation has been scaled back since their children have grown, but they continue to enjoy and cherish the breed.
If elected to the Board of Directors, Jonathan says he is committed to doing his best to ensure that BWCAA bylaws, rules, and regulations are upheld and that members are served in a friendly and professional manner.
